Information we collect
To use Ledgerly, you create an account with an email address and a password. Your password is never stored in plain text — we store it as a securely hashed value that cannot be reversed.
When you build an invoice or quote, you provide the information needed to generate the document: your business details, your client's details, line items, quantities, prices, taxes, discounts, notes, and an optional logo, signature image, and PDF color theme.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to verify your identity when you log in.
- To generate your invoices and quotes as PDF documents. This generation happens entirely on Ledgerly's servers — your data is never sent to a third-party service to produce the document.
- To store the invoices and quotes you create, so you can view, edit, re-download, or delete them later from the "My invoices" page.
Where your data is stored
Your account details and the invoices and quotes you create are stored in Ledgerly's database, tied to your account. Uploaded logos and signature images are stored so they can be rendered on your PDF documents.
Your session is kept active using an authentication token stored in your browser. This token is only used to identify you to Ledgerly's servers and is removed when you log out.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or the contents of your invoices and quotes to any third party. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics services that track you across the web.
Your data is only ever accessed by Ledgerly's own systems in order to provide the service to you.
Data retention and deletion
Invoices and quotes remain stored in your account for as long as you keep them. Deleting an invoice from "My invoices" permanently removes it from our database.
If you'd like your account and all associated data removed entirely, you can request this and we will delete it from our systems.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to how Ledgerly collects, uses, or stores data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
